Herron is a Public Relations Director of the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation. He has previously served as City Manager in Bethel (1998-2005), Legislative Aide in the Office of Lyman Hoffman (1987-1994), and General Manager/Partner with Swanson's Theater/Bethel Cablevision. Herron served in the United State Marine Corps from 1973 to 1977.
Herron has owned and operated a number of businesses, including Bethel Drilling & Welding, Blue Sky Estates, Golden Eagle, Kisaralik Unlimited, and North Star Gas.[2]
