Pierce was a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing the 19th District from 2007 to 2013 and served as State House Speaker Pro Tempore.
Pierce is a member of the Arkansas National Guard, and owner of Sheridan True Value, as well as Telebooth, Incorporated. He is a former member of the Sheridan School Board.[1]
