Bonnie Nelson was a Democratic candidate for District 16 of the Alaska House of Representatives. The primary election was on August 24, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

Nelson earned his BA in Education from Florida Atlantic University. She then attended the University of Alaska where she studied Special Education/Paralegal Studies/Justice/Public Administration.
