Bonnie Storbakken is a former North Dakota Commissioner of Labor. She was appointed by Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R) on May 16, 2013 and officially assumed the position on May 27, 2013. She left the office on September 5, 2014, to join the governor's office as general counsel.[1]

Storbakken was appointed to replace Tony Weiler, who resigned in order to accept a job as executive director of the State Bar Association of North Dakota.[2]


An attorney by trade, Storbakken has owned and operated Storbakken Law and Mediation since 2007.[2]

Storbakken was appointed North Dakota Commissioner of Labor to a term effective May 27, 2013.



Storbakken was appointed as North Dakota Commissioner of Labor by Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R) on May 16, 2013. Dalrymple stated, “Bonnie brings a broad legal experience and expertise in mediation services, which will help serve as a strong foundation as she works to protect the rights of North Dakota citizens.”[2] She left to become general counsel in the governor's office in Spetmeber 2014.[1]
