A Boyne Valley Township Ambulance Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Boyne Valley, which is in Charlevoix County.

This measure sought to increase the current ambulance levy by a rate of $.50 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of four years in order to further pay for ambulance operational costs in the township.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the limitation on the amount of ad valorem taxes which may be levied by the Township of Boyne Valley, Charlevoix County, Michigan, against taxable property in the Township be increased by up to .5 mills ($.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, 2012 through 2015, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for equipping, operating, and maintaining an ambulance service within the township, and shall the Township levy such millage for these purposes? If approved and levied in its entirety this millage would raise an estimated $64,798 for the Township in 2012. |
