Biography
Little served as leader of the cattle and woolgrowers associations for a number of years until he was appointed to the Idaho State Senate in May 2001. He was elected and re-elected to this position four times.[2]
Little was then appointed by Governor of Idaho Butch Otter in 2009 to succeed Jim Risch, who won an election to serve in the U.S. Senate. Little served in the Idaho State Senate from 2001 to 2009 before becoming lieutenant governor. In 2010, he was elected to a full term along with Gov. Otter.[1]

Little served District 11 in the Idaho State Senate from 2001 to 2009.[1] Elected as majority caucus chairman in 2003, he served in this role until his appointment as lieutenant governor in 2009.[2]
