Brad Rider was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 92 of the Indiana House of Representatives. Rider was defeated by Tim Motsinger in the Republican primary on May 8, 2012.[1]

Rider was raised in Marion County, Indiana and graduated from Arlington High School.[2] Upon graduation Rider joined the U.S. Army and served as an artillerymen with the 7th infantry division in Monterey, California.[2] After serving, Rider returned home and started work in business first as a retail employee, and quickly became a manager for a large beverage retailer in Central Indiana.[2] In a few years Rider became president and CEO and worked to grow the business from 13 stores to 26 locations in two states.[2]

Rider ran in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 92. Tyjuan Garrett, Brian Cooper, and Karlee Macer ran in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012. Rider, Richard B. Scott, Sr., and Tim Motsinger ran in the Republican primary. Tim Motsinger won in the primary.[1] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
