Two Brady & Northwest Township Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the townships of Brady and Northwest which are both in Williams County.

Both measures were approved

The Brady measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services offered in the township.

The Northwest measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection and emergency medical services offered in the township.[1]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Brady Measure:A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Brady Township for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding ½ mill

for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Northwest Measure:A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Northwest Township for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
