An effort to recall Brady Banks from his elected position on the city council of Nashville, Tennessee, was launched in May 2012.[1] Banks represents District 4. A recall election did not take place.

Reasons for recall

In February 2012, Banks was arrested in a prostitution sting.[2] Banks was charged with a misdemeanor, but the charge was dismissed after Banks attended a class and paid court fees.[3] Connie Hunter led the recall effort.

Path to the ballot

Recall organizers attempted to place the recall on the November 2012 ballot. More than 1,900 signatures of District 4 voters were requried in order to force a recall election.[1] A recall election did not take place.
