Bazor ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 86, but lost to Mark Purvis in the primary on August 2, 2011. Democrat Sherra Lane defeated Mack Carney in the June 7 Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[1]
