Harrell is the Municipal Marketing & Government Affairs Representative for the metro Atlanta area at Advanced Disposal Services, a waste management company. He was mayor of Snellville, GA from 2000 to 2003 and executive director of the Evermore (Hwy 78) Community Improvement District from 2003 to 2009. From 1986 to 2005, Harrell owned his own business -- American Speedy Printing. He and his wife, Diane, have one son.
