Brett Wadsworth was a Democratic candidate for District 5 of the Alabama State Senate. The primary election was on June 1, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

Wadsworth earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1997. He also has a BS in Criminal Justice. He graduated from law school in 2003 and has worked as a lawyer since. He currently works in Walker, Jefferson, Winston, and Tuscalaoosa counties.

Wadsworth is married to Cindy Cater Wadsworth, and they have two children.
