Brian Bushweller is a Democratic member of the Delaware Senate, serving his first term since being elected in 2008.

Bushweller earned his Associates Degree from Ulster County Community College, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma City University and his Master of Arts Degree from Stanford University.

Before becoming a state senator, Bushweller was the State Director for U.S. Senator Tom Carper, he was the Secretary of the Delaware Department of Public Safety, the Legislative Liaison for Governor Tom Carper and the Teacher Union Field Representative.

Bushweller represents Delaware Senate District 17 which is composed of the city of Kent and the central part of Dover.

Brian is married to Rocky Bushweller and they have five children together.
