Jones is running for re-election in the 2012 election for California State Assembly District 71. He was displaced from his current district by redistricting. He is running against Patrick Hurley (D) and John McLaughlin (R) in the primary on June 5, 2012. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [1]
