Issues

Campaign themes

In a submitted biography, Gunn describes his political philosophy:[1]

"I will work to reform Washington State's regressive tax system by closing tax loopholes for big business and easing the tax burden on individuals and small businesses. We must provide ample funding for our schools and colleges without sacrificing basic health programs and other services that our citizens rely on. I support a State Bank similar to the one in North Dakota to help communities finance infrastructure projects at low interest rates, make student loans, and protect the Washington State economy from market volatility. I will support programs to protect the environment, expand public transportation, and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. I am pro-choice, and I support marriage equality; I believe no law-abiding citizen should be denied their civil rights or the right to vote and to have their vote count. I will work to pass a State Resolution calling on Congress to send to the States a Constitutional Amendment stating that corporations are not people and money is not speech. This is the only way to undo the damage of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision."
