Greenfield earned his BS in Business Management/Marketing from Northern State University in 1999.
Greenfield has been an Attendant at Greenfield's Short Stop since 1992. He has also worked as a Substitute Teacher for Clark School/Doland School from 2002 to the present. He has been State Director of South Dakota Right to Life since 2005 as well.
Greenfield served in the South Dakota State Senate from 2000 to 2008. He then joined the South Dakota State House of Representatives in 2009. He has served in that position since, representing the 6th District.

Greenfield won re-election in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 2. Greenfield ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5 and won re-election in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
2010
Greenfield ran for re-election to one of two seats in District 6 of the South Dakota House of Representatives. Also running was fellow incumbent Burt Tulson (R).[2] Both won election in 2010.[3]
