March 6, 2012 ballot in the Oakwood school district area which is in Preble and Montgomery Counties.
The measure was approved in both counties.
Montgomery County:
- YES 1,579 (68.95%)
- NO 711 (31.05%)[1]
Preble County:
- YES 12 (60.00%)
- NO 8 (40.00%)[2]
This measure seeks to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $.50 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current operational costs in the school district.[3]

The question on the ballot:
| A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Brookville Local School District, Counties of Preble and Montgomery, for the purpose of CURRENT OPERATING EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding 5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.50 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013. |
