Two Brushcreek & Marshall Township Cemetery Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the townships of Brushcreek and Marshall which are in Highland County.

Both measures were approved

The Brushcreek measure sought to renew the current cemetery levy which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for cemetery maintenance and operations costs in the township.

The question on the ballot:

Brushcreek Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of BRUSHCREEK TOWNSHIP for the purpose of MAINTAINING AND OPERATING CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to TEN-CENTS ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for FIVE (5) YEARS, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Marshall Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of MARSHALL TOWNSHIP for the purpose of MAINTAINING AND OPERATING CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding 0.25 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to TWO AND ONE HALF CENTS ($0.025) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for FIVE (5) YEARS, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
