Joseph Frank "Bud" Koppy (born November 21, 1942) was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 11 of the Montana House of Representatives.


Campaign themes


Koppy took Project Vote Smart's Political Courage Test in 2012, the answers to which can be seen here. When asked about his legislative priorities, he answered with the following:[1]

Education - supporting Graduation Matters. no more wait + see policy help children from K-3 not waiting until they are 3 years behind and promoting them to the next grade. Giving teachers, not policy makers authority. Promote After school Learning programs.
Down sizing of Federal Government and spending. Doing away with the corporate board. Transparency of all transactions between local-state and federal government so the people can have the info. to vote informed.

Koppy ran in the 2012 election for Montana House of Representatives, District 11. Koppy ran unopposed in the June 5 primary election and was defeated by Greg Hertz (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
