A Calexico Sales Tax, Measure H ballot question was on the June 8, 2010 ballot in the City of Calexico in Imperial County, where it was approved.[1]
Measure H asked for a half-cent increase in the city sales tax in Calexico. The increased tax will last for 20 years. The city believes that it will gain $1.3 million in additional sales tax revenue from the enactment of Measure H.
According to city officials, the city needs a higher sales tax because the city budget is $5.3 million in the hole.
