California's 26th congressional district is located in the southern portion of the state and includes part of Los Angeles County.[1]
California's 26th congressional district previously included the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley from La Cañada Flintridge to Rancho Cucamonga.[2]
The current representative of the 26th congressional district is Julia Brownley (D).

According to a Cook Political Report analysis, the 26th district was one of 13 congressional districts in California that may be competitive in 2012. The analysis rated it as Republican Toss Up.[3] Democrat Julia Brownley won election in the district.[4]
