California's 8th congressional district is located in the eastern portion of the state and includes the counties of Mono, Inyo, and San Bernardino.[1]
California's 8th congressional district previously included most of the city and county of San Francisco except for the southwestern parts.[2]
The current representative of the 8th congressional district is Paul Cook (R).

The 8th congressional district of California held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Republican Paul Cook won the election in the district.[3]
