California College and University Funding Initiative (2012)

A California College and University Funding Initiative (#12-0011) has been submitted to the Attorney General of California's office as a potential contender for the state's 2014 ballot as an initiated state statute.

Path to the ballot

• Jesse Lucas submitted a letter requesting a ballot title on March 26, 2012.
• A ballot title and summary is expected by May 16, 2012.
• Once those documents are issued, sponsors will have 150 days to collect 807,615 signatures to qualify the proposed initiative for the ballot.
