Proposition 47 was on the ballot in California in 1914 as an initiated constitutional amendment. Its goal was to prohibit, for a period of eight years, ballot initiatives prohibiting alcohol.

Defeatedd Proposition 47 was defeated at the polls. It was on the same ballot as Proposition 2, The Prohibition Amendment, which also failed.
