Ninety-six local school bond measures were on the November 4, 2008 ballot in public school districts around the state of California. There were also 21 school district parcel tax levies on the November 4 ballot, for a total of 116 local ballot measures related to local public school financing in California.
- A total of about $22.5 billion was sought in elementary, high school and community college bonds.
- 87 of the 96 school bond requests were approved, or more than 90%.
- 81% of the school parcel tax requests passed.
