Campaign for Comprehensive Legal Reform

The Campaign for Comprehensive Legal Reform is an Arkansas political advocacy organization. In late November 2007, the organization submitted three initiative proposals to the Arkansas Attorney General.[1] One of the proposals is a Severance Tax Hike.

The other two proposals would limit the power of the Arkansas Supreme Court to regulate the practice of law and waive the state's sovereign immunity from civil suits involving judicial, prosecutorial or attorney misconduct. One of the proposals also would set four-year terms for county officials and would allow state legislators whose term limits have expired to seek office again after two years.

Kerry Hicks of Oden, Arkansas, is the chairman of the group.
