Capri Cafaro (b. November 21, 1977) is a Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate, representing the 32nd District since her appointment in January 2007. Cafaro was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Ohio's 14th district in 2004. She was also a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Ohio's 14th district in 2006. She was appointed to the Ohio State Senate in January of 2007 and has served in that position since. In 2011, she served as the Minority Leader.

Cafaro was a Staff Member for both Edward Kennedy and Alfonse D'Amato of the United States Senate.

Cafaro earned her BA from Stanford University in 1997. She went on to receive her MA in International Relations from Georgetown University. She then earned her MALS from Georgetown University in 2001.

Cafaro won re-election in the 2012 election for Ohio Senate, District 32. Cafaro was unopposed in the March 6 Democratic primary election and defeated Nancy McArthur (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
