Biography
A former elementary and middle school teacher, Aichele entered politics in November 2003 when she was elected to the Chester County Board of Commissioners. Prior to that she served as controller of Chester County, becoming the first woman to hold the position.[2]
Aichele has served in the other following roles:

Aichele has served as Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since she was confirmed by the Senate on April 26, 2011.[2]

Aichele was first elected to the Chester County Board of commissioners in November 2003 and re-elected in November 2007.[2]
Chester County Controller
Aichele was the first woman to serve as Controller of Chester County.[2]
