Carolene Mays (b. July 21, 1961) is a member of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. She has served in this position since 2010.[1]

Biography

Prior to her appointment to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Mays was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2002-2008. She has also been Publisher and President of the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper and the Indiana Minority Business Magazine. Mays was a finalist for an appointment by President Barack Obama as the Midwest Regional Director of Housing and Urban Development, but withdrew her name from consideration after being appointed to the IURC.[1]
