Carolyn Eyre was a Republican candidate for District 48 of the Ohio House of Representatives. The primary election was on May 4, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.


Eyre studied Elementary Education at Bowling Green State University from 1952 to 1956 and Early Childhood Education at Lourdes College from 1988 to 1989. In 1997, she graduated from the Bible Temple School of Ministry with a degree in Theology. From 2005 to 2007, she attended the Toledo Bible Institute and in 2008 she graduated with a degree in Christian Education from the American Baptist College in Toledo. Eyre's professional experience includes working as a teacher, daycare director and supervisor at the Bible Temple Daycare. She also worked as a community liaison and care paster at the Bible Temple Family Worship Center.[1]

Eyre was defeated in the November 2 general election by Michael Ashford (D).[2]


Eyre and her husband, Alvin, have five children. They live in Toledo, Ohio.[1]
