Hugley ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 136. Hugley ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on July 31, 2012. Randy Kitchens ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [2] Hughley defeated Randy Kitchens in the general election.[3]

Hugley ran for re-election to the 133rd District seat in 2010. She did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against her in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]
