Casey Cox is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 85. He was first elected to the chamber by a Republican caucus in October 2013 following the death of Phyllis Pond (R) from cancer.

Cox served on the Indiana University Board of Trustees and the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission.[1]

Biography

Cox earned his B.S. and J.D. from Indiana University Bloomington. His professional experience includes working as an attorney with the firm of Beers Mallers Backs & Salin.[1]

Elections for the office of Indiana House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place May 6, 2014. The general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Casey Cox defeated Ken Knoblauch and Denny Worman in the Republican primary and is unchallenged in the general election.[2][3]

Personal

Cox and his wife, Melissa, have two children. He has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society.[1]
