Spain ran in the 2012 election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 58. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12, but was decertified afterwards.[1] Incumbent Liston D. Barfield (R) defeated Fonzie Lewis in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [2]
