A Central Oregon Coast Fire District Levy Renewal measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the fire district area which is in Lincoln County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 723 Approveda
  • NO 277[1]

This measure sought to renew the current property tax which is set at a rate of $.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further ten years in order to continue to pay for capital equipment costs in the district.[2] Board officials noted that the calls to the district had increased over the past years, adding strain to the current fleet of vehicles and that their set property tax rate is lower than most fire district of comparable size in the state. The district planned to purchase two new fire engines, two ambulance vehicles and other needed equipment since this measure was approved.[3]
