This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $2.40 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years in order to pay for general fund maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| To replace an expiring excess levy, the Centralia School District No. 401 Board of Directors adopted Resolution #2011-25 concerning educational funding. This proposition authorizes the District to levy the following rates, in place of the expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, to support the District's educational maintenance and operations: Collection Year: 2013-2014; Approximate Levy Rate per $1000 Assessed Value: $2.40, $2.49; Levy Amount: $5,425,000, $5,625,000. Should this proposition be approved? |
