Charles Levesque (b. August 2, 1954) has been a Democratic member of the Rhode Island Senate since 2004, representing the 11th district.
Education
Levesque earned his BA in English from the University of Rhode Island in 1977. He went on to receive his JD from Loyola University in 1980.
Professional experience
Levesque worked as an attorney for Levesque Law Office from 1980 to 2006. He then worked as Assistant Town Solicitor for the Town of Portsmouth from 1986 to 1988, from 2001 to 2002, and again from 2005 to the present.
Political experience
Levesque was a member of the Portsmouth Town Council from 1988 to 1992. He then served in the Rhode Island State House of Representatives from 1992 to 2002. He joined the Rhode Island State Senate in 2004. He has served in that position since, representing the 11th district.
