Charles Rouse was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 3 of the California State Assembly.

Before running for office, Rouse worked in the postal service for 27 years, employment that he retired from nine years ago. He also has owned a farm for 35 years, and currently calls himself an olive farmer. Other notable work includes employment as a banker for seven years and four years of service in the Air Force.[1]

Rouse ran in the 2012 election for California State Assembly District 3. He advanced past the June 5, 2012 blanket primary, defeating Bob Williams (R). Rouse was defeated by Dan Logue (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
