This measure was approved
- YES 1,862 (69.45%)
- NO 819 (30.55%)
This measure sought approval of a zoning ordinance which would re-zone a 17 acre parcel of land into a KOA parking area. Arguments for and against this ordinance were also be submitted to appear on the official voter's pamphlet.
A group had been formed in opposition to this, Protect Our Rural Lifestyle, campaigning against this measure and informing residents about why they did not think this measure was a good idea because it would conflict with current homes in the area. A group in favor, Chino First had also been formed to promote the measure noting that the KOA campground would promote more tourism in Chino Valley.
