Chris Holden (b. July 19, 1960) is a Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing District 41. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. He has served as a member of the Pasadena City Council for the past 15 years, including briefly serving as mayor in the 1990's.[1]

Biography

Holden earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from San Diego State University in 1982. He then ran for the Pasadena City Council but was not elected. Four years later, he won election and has served on the council since.

Holden won election in the 2012 election for California State Assembly District 41. He advanced past the June 5, 2012, blanket primary, defeating Michael Cacciotti (D), Victoria Rusnak (D), and Ed Colton (R). Holden defeated Donna Lowe (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
