2012
Kalla was defeated by incumbent Jim Jordan.[2] Kalla ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Ohio's 4th District. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was December 7, 2011. Kalla ran unopposed in the March 6, 2012 Libertarian primary, and will face incumbent Rep. Jim Jordan (R) and James Slone on November 6, 2012.
The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Ohio in 2012 as one of the states that could determine whether Democrats retake the House or Republican holds its majority in 2013.[3] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[3]
