Democrat state senator.
Koster was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Harrisonville, Missouri, located about 40 minutes outside of Kansas City.[1] The Missouri native stayed in state throughout college and attended the University of Missouri Columbia, graduating in 1987 and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from University of Missouri School of Law in 1991.
Koster's career in public service began as Assistant Attorney General.
