Stratton ran in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 24. Stratton, Harry Freeman, Lidella Wilson Hrutkay, Larry E. Rogers, and Joe White were defeated by incumbent Rupert "Rupie" Phillips, Jr. and Teddy "Ted" Tomblin in the May 8 primary election.[1][2]
