Christopher Bateman has been a Republican member of the New Jersey Senate since 1997. Bills that have been sponsored by Senator Bateman include Senate Bill 241 and Senate Bill 308.[1]
Bateman graduated with a B.A in Political Science and History from Ithaca College and also graduated with a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.[2]
In addition to being a senator, Bateman is an Attorney/Partner for DiFrancesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis & Lehrer. Bateman has also been a member of the New Jersey State Assembly. During this time he was also the assembly's Assistant Republican Leader.[3]

Bateman was born on October 9, 1957 in Somerville, New Jersey. He and his wife, Susan, have four children: Christopher Jr., Joseph, Stephanie and Kate.
