This measure sought to increase the current property tax in the district to one set at a rate of 4.975 percent in order to pay for fire protection services in the district.^[2]

The question on the ballot:


	Shall the extension limitation under the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law for Cincinnati Fire Protection District be increased from the lesser of 5% or the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index over the prior levy year to 49.75% per year for 2012?
