Four City & Villages Electrical Aggregation Questions was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the designated areas which are in Stephenson County.

All four measures were approved^[1]

These measures sought to allow authorities to aggregate and buy electricity in bulk in order to obtain lower rates for residents who want to participate in the program. Communities with this measure on their ballot include the city of Freeport as well as the villages of German Valley, Winslow and Lena.^[2]

The question on the ballot:


	Shall the Village of German Valley have the authority to arrange for the supply of electricity for its residential and small commercial retail customers who have not opted out of such program?
