City & Village Electrical Aggregation Questions, 9 (March 2012)
Ten City & Village Electrical Aggregation Questions were on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the nine designated areas which are in LaSalle County.
Six of the measures were approved[1]
These measures sought to allow the designated area officials to aggregate electricity and buy it in bulk so as to obtain lower rates for residents who would also be able to opt out of the program if they wanted. The areas included are the villages of Millington, North Utica, Somanauk (also in DeKalb County) and Sheridan as well as the cities of Mendota, LaSalle, Marseilles, Ottawa and Streator (also in Livingston County).[2]
