City of Jurupa Valley Appropriations Limit, Measure P (November 2012)
Measure P set an annual appropriations limit of $28,967,355 for the relatively new City of Jurupa Valley.
New cities in California are required to determine a permanent appropriations limit and submit it to voters at the first election after the first full year of incorporation.
Jurupa Valley had a provisional appropriations limit of $27,914,961 which was set by the Riverside County Local Agency Formation Commission. If Measure P had failed, that provisional limit would have remained in effect until the city's voters did approve an appropriations limit.
Jurupa Valley's City Council has adopted a $24.3 million budget.
