A City of Lakeport Fireworks Initiative, Measure C ballot question was on the November 3, 2009 ballot for voters in the City of Lakeport in Lake County, where it was approved.

Measure C made it legal to sell state-approved fireworks in Lakeport. In the spring of 2009, the Lakeport City Council by a vote of 3-2 banned the sale of fireworks. Jim Irwin and Suzanne Lyons were the two city council members to vote against the fireworks ban.[1]

The groups that wanted Measure c to pass were primarily groups that raised money for their charitable causes through the sale of fireworks.[2]

Lakeport is the county seat of Lake County. At the time of the 2000 census, its population was approaching 5,000.
