Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Measure V: Shall the ordinance amending the Ontario Municipal Code to increase the rate for the City’s transient occupancy tax by 1% to a total of 12 ¾ % of the rent charged by hotel operators, including online travel companies, for the transient occupancy of any hotel room, or portion of a hotel room, in the City be adopted to help the City preserve general City services such as police and fire protection?[1]
