A City of Pinole Utility Users Tax, Measure S
was on the November 2, 2010 ballot
for voters in the City of Pinole in Contra Costa County
. It was defeated.
Pinole had an 8% utility users tax that was set to end in 2012. If Measure S had been approved, that 8% tax would have been extended for eight more years and water bills, which were not taxed under the existing utility user tax, would have been taxed. A simple majority vote was required for approval.
